The Role

As Stockroom Supervisor, you will work closely with and report directly to the Operations Manager, taking responsibility for the day-to-day organisation and efficiency of the stockroom.

You will ensure that stock is received, processed, stored and replenished accurately and efficiently, while maintaining a clean, organised and safe stockroom environment. You will also support the wider store team by ensuring product is available on the shop floor when required.

This is a hands‑on role where organisation, attention to detail and teamwork are essential. You will also support and supervise members of the stockroom team, helping to maintain high standards and ensuring operational processes are followed consistently.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the Operations Manager with the efficient day-to-day running of the stockroom.
  • Supervising and supporting stockroom colleagues, allocating tasks and ensuring priorities are managed effectively.
  • Taking responsibility for the accurate receipt, processing and storage of deliveries.
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and supporting regular stock checks and stocktakes.
  • Investigating stock discrepancies and reporting issues to the Operations Manager.
  • Ensuring the stockroom remains clean, organised, secure and safe at all times.
  • Managing stock replenishment to ensure the shop floor is fully supported.
  • Preparing stock for transfers, deliveries, collections and other operational requirements.
  • Working closely with the Sales Team to ensure product is available efficiently and promptly.
  • Supporting the Operations Manager with loss prevention and stock control procedures.
  • Helping to train and develop stockroom colleagues, ensuring company processes are understood and followed.
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety within the stockroom.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve stockroom organisation, efficiency and ways of working.
  • Supporting the wider store team during busy trading periods when required.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a stockroom, warehouse or retail operations environment.
  • Previous experience supervising or leading a team is desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • A proactive approach and the confidence to take ownership of your responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
