Overview
In this role, you will steer the regional transformation of underwriting, claims, medical and biometric capabilities across EMEA, driving data-led, scalable solutions. You’ll partner with market leaders and regional teams to reimagine delivery, improve client value and efficiency, and embed best practices from across the Group. You will lead innovation while balancing governance and practical delivery, shaping the transformation agenda that aligns with enterprise priorities. This is a high-impact role for someone who builds cross-functional coalitions and accelerates adoption of AI, analytics and digital capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the EMEA transformation strategy for underwriting, claims, medical and biometric capabilities.
- Lead digitalisation of underwriting and claims across EMEA to improve customer experience, risk assessment, decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Partner with sub-regions to drive adoption and delivery across markets and business segments.
- Leverage technology, analytics, data sources, predictive modelling and partnerships to identify opportunities and pioneer innovative reinsurance solutions.
- Lead scalable biometric solutions to strengthen underwriting and claims capabilities across EMEA.
- Translate biometric insights into practical client solutions and promote best practices across sub-regions.
- Drive transformation across people, processes and systems in alignment with global and regional stakeholders.
- Harness AI, data and technology to enable end-to-end processes and productivity gains.
- Collaborate with Strategic Execution, enterprise technology, vendors and industry players to accelerate innovation adoption.
- Represent RGA externally on underwriting and claims innovation and support business development with client propositions.
Key requirements
- Relevant qualification in insurance, risk, underwriting, claims, technology, business transformation or related discipline
- Significant experience in life and health insurance, reinsurance, underwriting, claims or related risk
- Proven experience leading large-scale transformation, innovation or digital strategy programmes
- Experience managing complex stakeholder environments across multiple markets or jurisdictions
- Strong understanding of underwriting and/or claims processes and emerging industry trends
- Experience leading AI, automation, data analytics or digital underwriting initiatives (preferred)
- Experience in global or regional matrix organisation (preferred)
