Overview

RGA is a global reinsurance company focused on life and health solutions. As an HR Shared Services Specialist EMEA, you will support the regional HR Shared Services function by managing data transactions and processes with efficiency and accuracy, continuously improving transactional HR processes using lean principles.

Duties & Responsibilities

Transactional Processing

  • Professional delivery, and timely and flawless execution of HR transactions throughout the employment lifecycle.
  • Manage a variety of HR processes in accordance with and compliance with country policies and local regulations for the EMEA region (UK, Ireland, South Africa, UAE, Italy, France, Spain, Poland, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland).
  • Develop, follow and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Prepare and handle HR documentation, including employment contracts, addendums, employment verifications and certifications.
  • Conduct regular audits and controls to ensure the highest data quality and integrity of data in our HR systems (Workday and other).

Customer Centricity

  • Manage and coordinate employee inquiries within reasonable timeframes and/or agreed SLAs. Work together with HRBPs and COEs to resolve complex queries and propose solutions.
  • Guide employees and managers in using Workday and other HR systems to facilitate technology adoption. Update and enhance direct access resources for our stakeholders (HR intranet pages).

Continuous Improvement & Project Management

  • Optimize and enhance standard operating processes, and within our Workday HRIS – applying project management skills, HR domain knowledge, and Workday expertise to support this responsibility.
  • Coordinate successful completion of project deliverables, identify risks and problems, build mitigation plans and solutions, and support the implementation of changes and solutions for corporate change initiatives impacting different functions and processes.

Requirements

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in a Human Resources function, preferably delivering services in a shared service center environment towards an international client group.
  • Experience with Workday HR information system.
  • Good knowledge of employment law and broader HR function practices.
  • Experience with HR processes throughout the employee life cycle and related standard operating procedures (e.g., onboarding, job changes, leave of absences, offboarding).
  • Experience leading or contributing to HR projects/programmes, with strong proficiency to support change management.
  • Experience with continuous improvement, with a demonstrated ability to identify needs, investigate options, seek solutions, and partner to resolve issues.

  • Autonomy – Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Digital Literacy – Strong technology skills (Workday HCM, Co-Pilot, Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, DocuSign, etc.).
  • Communication – Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages a plus).
  • Influence – Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate seamlessly with partners and stakeholders, in a remote and multi-country setting.
