This is a genuine opportunity for an Estimator who wants to take ownership of tenders on technically detailed projects, typically ranging from £1m to £20m, while working closely with experienced, hands-on directors.
The Role – What You’ll Be Doing
- As an Estimator, you’ll play a key role in the pre-construction team, leading tenders from enquiry through to submission.
- Lead Tenders – Prepare detailed and competitive submissions across refurbishment, heritage, and new build projects.
- Commercial Ownership – Analyse subcontractor returns, build up rates, and manage full pricing documents.
- Technical Review – Assess drawings and specifications, identifying risks and opportunities for value engineering.
- Stakeholder Liaison – Engage with clients, consultants, and supply chain throughout the tender process.
- Reporting – Produce clear tender reports and cost plans for internal review.
- Process Improvement – Support development of estimating systems and cost databases.
You will also have the chance to support and mentor junior team members as the department grows.
