Your Next Job - What You'll Be Doing
This highly reputable residential contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of multiple super-prime projects across Berkshire and Oxfordshire. The initial focus (starting March) will be a £3m new build super-prime residence on an existing private estate just outside Reading. The new build must sit seamlessly alongside the main property, maintaining the same exceptional design quality, materials, and craftsmanship standards. A £2m tennis pavilion is also planned at the same estate as a later phase. From April, you will also oversee a £5m phased development of a super-prime estate in Banbury, Oxfordshire. Both sites will have a full-time Site Manager reporting directly to you, allowing you to focus on leadership, coordination, programme control, and stakeholder management across both projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Take full ownership of project delivery from mobilisation to completion, ensuring works are sequenced, coordinated, and executed to the highest super-prime standards.
- Manage and monitor programmes across both sites, ensuring milestones, phasing and handovers are achieved on time and within budget.
- Lead health & safety compliance and culture, ensuring robust CDM implementation and risk management.
- Oversee and support Site Managers, driving productivity, quality control and subcontractor performance.
- Work closely with commercial and QS teams to manage costs, variations and value engineering opportunities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, architects and specialist subcontractors.
- Produce regular progress reports, forecasts and site documentation, maintaining clear communication with senior leadership.
This is a leadership-focused, site-driven role requiring regular presence across both locations (Reading and Banbury), working closely with directors and commercial teams to ensure programme, quality and financial targets are consistently met.
