Project Manager – Refurbishment & Maintenance Division
Location: Canary Wharf, London
Salary: £55,000-£65,000 per annum

The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in internal construction? Our client, a reputable contractor known for delivering high-quality services in the construction industry, is seeking a dedicated professional to lead their refurbishment and maintenance projects. This role offers the opportunity to manage projects up to £500,000 from the enquiry stage through to handover, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to the highest standards.

About the Company
Our client has established a strong reputation over the past decade, maintaining robust relationships with clients by delivering projects that meet exact specifications and timescales. They specialise in various aspects of construction, including refurbishment and maintenance services, mechanical and electrical services, and more. Their meticulous approach ensures a perfect finish in a safe and clean environment, taking contracts from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Management: Oversee all aspects of refurbishment and maintenance projects up to £500,000, from initial enquiry through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  2. Cost Estimation: Accurately price jobs, considering all necessary resources and materials to ensure competitive and profitable bids.
  3. Team Coordination: Collaborate effectively with the Facilities Management lead and Quantity Surveyor, ensuring seamless project execution and addressing any challenges promptly.
  4. Client Liaison: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  5. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all projects comply with relevant health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards, maintaining a safe working environment for all team members.

Qualifications

  1. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in full life cycle project management within the construction industry, particularly in refurbishment and maintenance or related areas.
  2. Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations. Ability to price work and work at pace is necessary.
  3. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  4. Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify issues proactively and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
  5. Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
