This is a genuine opportunity for an Estimator who wants to take ownership of tenders on technically detailed projects, typically ranging from ÂŁ1m to ÂŁ20m, while working closely with experienced, handsâon directors.
The Role â What Youâll Be Doing
Lead Tenders â Prepare detailed and competitive submissions across refurbishment, heritage, and new build projects.
Commercial Ownership â Analyse subcontractor returns, build up rates, and manage full pricing documents.
Technical Review â Assess drawings and specifications, identifying risks and opportunities for value engineering.
Stakeholder Liaison â Engage with clients, consultants, and supply chain throughout the tender process.
Reporting â Produce clear tender reports and cost plans for internal review.
Process Improvement â Support development of estimating systems and cost databases.
Support and mentor junior team members as the department grows.

What You Need
Experience as an Estimator within a main contractor or specialist refurbishment contractor.
Strong knowledge of pricing, procurement, and subcontractor engagement.
Experience working on refurbishment, heritage, or complex building projects is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet deadlines.
Relevant qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) beneficial but not essential.
