The Opportunity

We're recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a long-established painting and decorating contractor delivering high-quality finishes across London and the UK. Established for over 50 years, the business has built a reputation for quality, reliability, and long-term client relationships, working alongside major contractors, developers, and end clients across a wide range of sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing commercial team where you'll take ownership of projects from pre-construction through to final account. About the Role — What You'll Be Doing

Working from the Vauxhall office, you'll manage the commercial aspects of painting, decorating, specialist coatings, and finishes projects across London and the South East. You will:

  • Manage project costs from tender handover through to final account
  • Prepare, submit, and negotiate interim valuations
  • Identify, price, and agree variations
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and accounts
  • Monitor project profitability and cost reporting
  • Prepare monthly CVRs and commercial forecasts
  • Support project teams with contractual and commercial matters
