We're looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Estimator to join a leading specialist contractor based in Erith. With over 60 years' heritage in delivering dry lining, façades, glazing and architectural metalwork across the UK, this business thrives on technical quality, collaborative teamwork and long-term client partnerships making this an ideal environment to grow your commercial career.

This is a progressive role well suited to someone with some estimating experience in any internal trade including M&E whether that's from a subcontractor, main contractor, or project/quantity surveying background. You'll work closely with an experienced commercial team, developing huge breadth of exposure across cost planning, tender preparation and pricing.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support pre-construction and tender submissions by preparing take-offs and costings.
  • Collaborate with senior estimators to build competitive, accurate proposals.
  • Analyse supplier pricing and market rates to optimise estimates.
  • Learn to interpret specifications, drawings and schedules of works.
  • Contribute to commercial risk analysis and value engineering discussions.
