We are looking for an ambitious and driven Contracts Manager to join an established residential housebuilder, overseeing multiple traditional build developments across Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. This is a role for a go-getter - someone energetic, enthusiastic and commercially aware who will drive standards across their sites rather than simply maintain them.

The Role

  • You will typically oversee 3-4 residential developments, consisting of one larger flagship scheme alongside several smaller sites.
  • Projects are located across the Midlands and Northern Home Counties; ideally you will be based in or around Milton Keynes.
  • You will be responsible for:
    • Overseeing multiple traditional build housing developments
    • Managing and supporting Site Managers across your portfolio
    • Driving programme, quality, health & safety and delivery
    • Setting high standards and holding site teams accountable
    • Identifying issues early and ensuring they are resolved
    • Developing strong-performing site teams
    • Working closely with commercial, technical and construction teams
    • Maintaining excellent build quality and customer standards

What We're Looking For

  • We want someone with a strong background in volume housebuilding, ideally coming from a recognised major housebuilder.
  • You should have experience overseeing volume residential developments, typically delivering between 60 and 150 units per year.
  • The successful candidate will ideally have:
    • Previous Contracts Manager experience within volume housebuilding
    • Strong traditional build knowledge
    • Experience managing several sites simultaneously
    • A track record of running high-performing or award-winning developments
    • Experience managing and developing award-winning Site Managers
    • A firm but positive management style
    • The personality to challenge teams, enforce standards and get results
    • A hardworking, enthusiastic and proactive approach

This position would suit someone who wants to make an impact and be part of a business that takes pride in delivering award-winning residential developments. If you're an experienced residential Contracts Manager looking for your next move across Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas, we'd be keen to hear from you.
