The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.
We are looking for a Business Unit Manager who will assume overall entrepreneurial responsibility for one of our transport divisions with up to 100 trucks. Your focus will be on targeted business development, expanding customer relationships, and sustainably optimizing profitability – based on clear KPIs. You will lead your team of dispatchers and drivers with sound judgment, set clear goals, and ensure measurable results, as well as the operational development of your business unit.
Your tasks:
- Strategic and operational development of your business area
- Managing day-to-day operations based on defined KPIs (e.g., capacity utilization, costs, service quality)
- Professional and disciplinary management of the dispatch team and the driver team in the assigned area
- Deployment planning, employee reviews, recruiting and development of your team
- Expansion of existing customer relationships, sales support, participation in tenders
- Optimization of processes along the transport chain in cooperation with internal interfaces (fleet, workshop, recruiting, sales)
- Budget and profit responsibility for your business area

Required:
- Several years of professional experience in the transport or logistics industry with management responsibility
