An innovative B2B Conference company is looking for a talented event marketing leader to oversee an entire event portfolio, which has gathered more than 25k industry experts across 10+ sectors with both virtual and in-person events. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you’ll be a critical cog in shaping and executing event marketing campaigns in a business with a mould-breaking model that’s experienced impressive growth over the past three years, even with two lockdowns. Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all marketing channels through all stages of the event lifecycle - incl email; social; paid (LinkedIn, search, Facebook); media partners and referrals.
- Building and executing bespoke marketing strategies for different events and markets, from events with $1,000+ tickets to free, virtual festivals.
- Managing and growing the event marketing team, currently four people.
- Continually experimenting with new campaigns, channels, messaging, offers, etc. and optimizing event marketing timelines in-line with what is and isn’t working.
- Pushing the quality and creativity of every single event campaign that goes out.
- Working closely with sales to ensure the two departments are aligned, maximizing on each other’s efforts and converting as many leads as possible.
- Switching between the long-term strategy and the short-term tactics.
- Planning for the events and year ahead, ensuring upcoming events don’t just meet, but exceed target.
Essential skills and experience:
- At least 4 years experience in a B2B event marketing environment.
- Experience managing multiple direct reports in a marketing environment.
- Robust understanding and exposure of marketing across paid, organic, partner, content, email, etc.
- Experience building complex marketing programs and reporting the results.
- Strong problem-solving ability, including metrics-driven thinking.
- Highly organized and strong project management skills.
- GAU and GA4 savvy.
- Experience using Asana (desirable).
