We wish to appoint a highly motivated, hardworking and dynamic School Business Manager to fill this exciting position within our school. We are looking for a Business Manager to give strategic vision and leadership to all aspects of school finances, HR, health & safety, administration/ICT, and premises management. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will work closely with and support the Head Teacher and Governing Body in providing our children with high quality learning opportunities.

Reigate Priory is an ‘Outstanding’ Junior school currently situated in an historic building in central Reigate. Following a recent SCC Cabinet meeting, the school is due to relocate in 2028 to a new, purpose-built building at Woodhatch Place on Cockshot Hill. The new site will deliver a modern, inclusive environment designed with pupil safety, sustainability and seamless indoor–outdoor learning in mind. The contemporary layout will create a warm, welcoming place for children to learn and staff to work. This is an exciting opportunity for the School Business Manager to be part of the project team to complete the final stages of the school design and see the delivery through to the final move in 2028.

  • To use strategic thinking and strong interpersonal skills to inspire and enthuse our staff, governors, and the wider community.
  • To combine a solid business acumen with an understanding of financial and operational management in a school or similar organisation (A qualification such as CSBM or equivalent is desirable).
  • To be highly professional with excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • To have experience of managing a school budget and capital projects and can confidently lead on budget planning and financial management.
  • To show commitment to all elements of safeguarding, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • To have the ability to work accurately under pressure, multitask and prioritise workload.
  • To be able to work efficiently both on your own and as part of a team.
  • To have excellent office management and ICT skills.
  • To be able to lead and manage with the aim of adding value across each aspect of the role including finance, compliance, HR, premises, safer recruitment, IT infrastructure, GDPR and Health & Safety.
  • To have the ability to lead and quality-assure facilities management and premises.
  • To want to make a difference to our children and families and go above and beyond.
