The College is seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic, and hardworking teacher to join the History Department. The post is available on a permanent, part‑time basis (57.14% to 76.19%) from 24 August 2026. The post would equally suit an experienced teacher or an Early Careers Teacher (ECT). For ECTs, a full programme of training and development will be provided. All new members of staff receive mentors to help them settle into the College.
The Department is housed in the Visual Arts Building in modern, fully equipped classrooms. The team consists of five other teachers who work in a collaborative style, contributing to central teaching resources. Students regularly progress onto university courses for History, Classics, Politics, Journalism, Archaeology, Law and Teaching.
Courses: A Level History
Salary and Contact Time: The full‑time equivalent salary for this post is up to £53,232 per annum. The contact time for a full‑time teacher is 21 hours per week (20 teaching + 1 tutor). ECTs receive a 5% or 10% reduction on their timetable depending on whether they are a first or second year ECT.
