  • Hours: 36 hours per week, 5 days including a Saturday or Sunday, 06:00 – 13:45

About the role

Do you love working in the outdoors? Then this job is for you. We are now recruiting for a Streetsweeper/Driver to carry out sweeping and other general cleansing duties in the Borough. Some of the duties include:

  • Driving ‘compact’ Sweeper (Subject to training and gaining appropriate licence)
  • Undertake, working alone or as part of a team, the cleansing of highways and other areas.
  • Litter‑picking
  • Manual Sweeping
  • Driving 3.5 cwt Pickup Truck
  • Utilise ‘Orderly Barrow’
  • Litter Bin emptying
  • Graffiti removal
  • Collecting & Removing Fly‑tipping
  • Other General Cleansing Work

Essential criteria

A current clean driving licence is essential for driving 3.5 cwt trucks and for driving a precinct mechanical sweeper; appropriate training will be required.
