About the role
Do you love working in the outdoors? Then this job is for you. We are now recruiting for a Streetsweeper/Driver to carry out sweeping and other general cleansing duties in the Borough. Some of the duties include:
- Driving ‘compact’ Sweeper (Subject to training and gaining appropriate licence)
- Undertake, working alone or as part of a team, the cleansing of highways and other areas.
- Litter‑picking
- Manual Sweeping
- Driving 3.5 cwt Pickup Truck
- Utilise ‘Orderly Barrow’
- Litter Bin emptying
- Graffiti removal
- Collecting & Removing Fly‑tipping
- Other General Cleansing Work
Essential criteria
A current clean driving licence is essential for driving 3.5 cwt trucks and for driving a precinct mechanical sweeper; appropriate training will be required.
