Job Title: Driver/Chargehand

Location of work: Earlswood Depot, Redhill

Salary: £37,980-£40,556 (dependent on experience)

Basis: Full time, Fixed term contract (2 years)

Hours: 45 hours per week Monday‑Friday

About the Role

We are looking to recruit someone with a full HGV Class 2/C & E driving licence to help us cover a variety of duties within Refuse & Recycling. As an HGV Driver you will undertake the collection of waste and recycling within the borough of Reigate and Banstead. You will be responsible for supporting and directing the crew to ensure safe, efficient, and high quality waste collection services for residents.

About the Person

• Full clean UK HGV Class 2 (Category C & E) licence
• Valid CPC and Digi Tacho Card (preferred)
• A ‘can do’ attitude
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to perform manual handling as part of the role
• Experience offering excellent customer service
• A high level of health and safety awareness
• Able to deal with a physically demanding job, working outdoors in all weathers
• Previous driving experience of Refuse Collection Vehicle is desirable and preferred – full induction training will be provided
