About the Role
Our Recycling & Refuse Team provides an excellent recycling and refuse collection service to the Council’s residents. You will work outdoors in all weather, performing a physically demanding job while maintaining a high standard of customer care and collaborating with colleagues. Compliance with health and safety guidance, training and PPE is provided.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Start the day at 7am and work 18 hours per week, Tuesday to Thursday
- Have a clean 3.5 tonne driving licence and a current CPC
- Maintain basic standard of English and maths and be capable of stock control
- Have basic computer skills to operate in-cab tablet
- Demonstrate good knowledge of health and safety
- Have previous experience working outdoors in all weathers
- Show good customer care skills
- Be highly motivated, capable, adaptable and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Be confident to propose process improvement suggestions where necessary
