Join Clarke Energy as a Product Support Engineer and play a vital role in delivering expert technical support to our Service Department, ensuring the reliability and performance of our Jenbacher product range.
About The Role: Your mission is to provide high-quality technical support and root cause analysis for product issues, ensuring accurate reporting and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with the Service Department, attending sites when required, and using data-driven insights to deliver best practice solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to the Service Department under the supervision of the Product Support Manager.
- Investigate product issues using best engineering practice and root cause analysis techniques.
- Utilise service tools such as MyPlant, Salesforce, Power BI, and Jenbacher Dashboard for data collection and analysis.
- Deliver clear, concise, and accurate engineering reports.
- Support warranty and concession cases through to completion.
- Recommend proactive maintenance strategies and improvements to service processes.
- Analyse and communicate Jenbacher fleet programmes.
- Maintain and manage the Service Bulletin library.
- Provide technical assistance to other internal functions as required.
Technical Skills: What We’re Looking For:
- Engineering qualification(s), preferably mechanical bias.
- Strong knowledge of good engineering practice and root cause analysis.
- Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience with Innio Jenbacher products.
- Advanced IT skills, including Excel, Microsoft Office, Power BI, and Navision.
- Excellent report writing and data analysis skills.
Personal Attributes:
- Professional, reliable, and results-oriented.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work to tight deadlines and travel at short notice, including overseas.
- Proactive and committed to continuous improvement.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Engineering qualification(s), preferably mechanical bias.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with Innio Jenbacher products.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
- Clean UK driving licence (Category B).
Desirable:
- BEng (Hons) degree.
- Experience in a similar technical support role.
- Strong customer relationship experience.
