Clarke Energy is looking for an Overhaul & Repair Centre Operative to join our Overhaul & Repair team, supporting the day-to-day running of our workshop and helping to maintain the high standards our engineers and customers rely upon. This is a hands-on role for a reliable and motivated individual who enjoys working in a busy engineering environment and wants to play an important part in supporting world-class engine overhaul operations.
About The Role
As an Overhaul & Repair Centre Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining the Overhaul & Repair Centre to the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation and professionalism. Working closely with engineers, supervisors and the wider Service team, you'll help ensure workshop activities run safely, efficiently and effectively. This role requires someone who can work on their own initiative, take ownership of workshop standards and contribute positively to the success of the team. Your contribution will directly support the successful delivery of engine overhaul and repair projects for customers across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, tidy and professional workshop environment at all times
- Carry out general housekeeping duties across the Overhaul & Repair Centre
- Take ownership of housekeeping standards, ensuring the workshop remains clean, organised and professional at all times
- Support the efficient organisation of workshop areas, tools, equipment and consumables
- Assist with the booking in and out of tooling in accordance with company procedures
- Work proactively using your own initiative to identify tasks that need completing and support the effective operation of the workshop
- Help ensure the workshop operates smoothly by undertaking a variety of support tasks as required
- Undertake additional duties as required to support the Overhaul & Repair Centre and wider business operations
Logistics & Equipment Support
- Collect consumables from off-site locations when required
- Deliver parts, tooling and equipment to off-site locations as necessary
- Operate and inspect workshop equipment, including overhead cranes, forklift trucks and ladders
- Complete daily pre-shift equipment checks and report any issues promptly
Health, Safety & Environment
- Follow all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and safe working practices
- Maintain a safe, clean and compliant working environment
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to workshop safety and housekeeping standards
- Promote high standards of housekeeping and safe working practices throughout the workshop
- Support a positive safety culture across the Overhaul & Repair Centre
Technical Skills What We're Looking For
- Good general workshop and housekeeping awareness
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Understanding of the importance of health and safety in a workshop environment
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain high standards of organisation

- Forklift licences (B1, B2 and P1)
