Why You Will Love this Job

To co-develop and execute the Uninterruptible Power (UP) Marketing Communications Strategy, for both the UK and international operations in Singapore and Ireland, developing and motivating the marketing team, building the UP brand and driving/supporting lead generation and sales activity.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops the annual Marketing Communications Strategy & Plans with the UP Marketing Director and regional sales management to deliver corporate objectives.
  • Drives and manages content and advertising activity including:
  • Selection and management of appropriate agencies.
  • Identifying and initiating company news opportunities to ensure frequent, timely and positive media coverage across all available media.
  • Identifying advertising (digital / print) opportunities to create country media plans.
  • Creation and production of sales collateral eg catalogues and brochure.
  • Development of white papers and customer case studies.
  • Responsible for the ongoing development of the company’s digital marketing:
    • Selection and management of an appropriate agency / agencies.
    • Developing web content to ensure it reflects key company messages, effectively promotes product, news and events and portrays the company image as an industry leader and expert, within the wider context of Rehlko.
    • Drives sales opportunities through web-based enquiries, in partnership with an external agency, through SEO and PPC techniques and supporting analysis.
    • Contributes to customer satisfaction and retention by ensuring ease of website use and provision of pertinent white papers / calculators etc upon it.
    • Develops and implements email marketing campaigns; including building and maintaining quality, regulatory compliant contact databases and assessing / improving open and click rates.
    • Proposes and delivers UK, SG and IE events such as exhibition attendances, bespoke events (incl seminars and factory visits) and hospitality (eg golf day).
    • Supports creation of training materials and delivery through media such as webinars, face to face presentations, Academies and CPD sessions.
    • Ensures new products are successfully launched through use of Go-To-Market / NPI planning tools and co-ordination of PR, events, traditional and digital media.
    • Responsible for UP Corporate, KUP Regional and Product Branding Strategies, plus proper implementation of Rehlko branding where appropriate.
    • Manages the Marketing Budget. Ensures delivery of all marketing communications activities within the agreed budget, timescale and quality criteria.
    • Understands the marketing activities of UK competitors and seeks feedback on those in Ireland and Singapore, proposing modifications of marketing plans where appropriate.
    • Management, development, coaching and motivation of the Marketing Communications team (2-3 people) including objective setting and performance reviews.
    • Lead the monitoring of customer experience and satisfaction activities, using appropriate digital tools (currently NICE Satmetrix), reports and management processes.
    • Supports the Marketing Director and company with project work including market analysis.

    RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS

    Supervisory Relationships:

    • Reports to Director of Marketing, UP
    • Line management responsibility for Marketing Executives (1-2)

    Organisation Relationships:

    • Frequent contact with UK, Irish and Singapore Sales Teams.
    • Frequent contact with UK management team members.
    • Works closely with all UP key functional managers eg Finance, Operations, Sales
    • Works closely with field sales teams and in-house telemarketers
    • Works as required with Rehlko HQ marketing, branding and sponsorship teams
    • Works as required with generator business management and Marketing
    • Occasional contact with Human Resources concerning staffing and employee retention issues.

    External Business Relationships:

    • Frequent contact with external support and media agencies (web, design, database providers)
    • Selection and procurement of related goods and services (video, promotional items, printed materials, exhibition equipment etc)

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

    • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a technical or business subject with recognized post-degree Business or Marketing qualifications e.g. CIM Diploma;
    • At least 5 years’ marketing communications management experience in a technical, international B2B environment, ideally for capital equipment;
    • Experience managing brand compliance and development;
    • Team player and strong people manager able to develop and manage complex tasks through others;
    • Proven ability to manage a significant marketing budget, ie +£250k / year;
    • Demonstrable success managing multi-country programmes within a common framework;
    • Flexible, self motivated and results driven with the ability to manage multiple tasks to deadlines within a pressurised environment;
    • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, maintaining excellent relationships with key contacts both internally and externally;
    • Familiarity with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud.
