The Warehouse Technician is responsible for supporting the efficient and safe operation of the warehouse, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, control and dispatch of company stock. The role contributes to stock integrity, operational efficiency, and compliance with company procedures, health and safety standards, and audit requirements. In the absence of the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Technician will support the day‐to‐day coordination of warehouse activities and stock control.
Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse & Stock Operations- Receive, inspect and book in goods accurately in accordance with purchase orders and company procedures.
- Pick, pack and dispatch stock to internal and external customers in line with business requirements.
- Ensure all stock is correctly labelled, stored and maintained within defined warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean, organised and professional warehouse environment.
- Monitor finished goods and consignment stock to ensure alignment with system records.
- Carry out stock movements and transfers between warehouse locations using Navigator.
- Maintain agreed levels of consumable stock and raise purchase orders where necessary.
- Support monthly stock checks and the annual stock audit process.
- Package, store and manage refurbished capacitor stock in coordination with Workshop Technicians.
- Provide support to workshop operations, including battery installation activities where required.
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and in line with training and certification.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety and operational procedures at all times.
- Report hazards, incidents and near‐misses in line with company procedures.
- Liaise with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal departments on warehouse and stock‐related matters.
- Ensure purchase orders are received accurately.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with all stakeholders.
- Experience within a warehouse or stock control environment
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Reach truck forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience using warehouse or stock management systems
- Electrical or technical competence
- Experience supporting workshop or engineering operations
- Reliable and self‐motivated
- Adaptable with a flexible approach to work
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Committed to safety, accuracy and continuous improvement
The Warehouse Technician may be required to undertake other reasonable duties in line with business needs, as directed by the Warehouse Manager and Company Directors.
