What Youâll Be Doing
Across the four-year programme, you will gain:
- Year 1 â Foundations
- One day a week study towards Level 2 & Level 3 Engineering Technician
- Clarke Energy induction, technical basics, and overhaul & repair skills
- CSCS card provided
- Company laptop & phone provided
- Year 2 â Technical Growth
- Department rotation in different departments
- Mechanical assignments and course work
- Mechanical Rebuild training â Jenbacher type 3 engine
- One day a week at college to complete Level 3
- Handsâon overhaul and repair experience
- Year 3 â Advanced Skills
- Jenbacher assignments and coursework
- Mechanical Rebuild training â Jenbacher type 4 engine
- Increased responsibility supporting overhaul projects
- Progress towards HNC (optional)
- Year 4 â Professional Readiness
- Electrical installation work and engine re-wire experience
- 3âmonth field service placement
- Mechanical Rebuild training â Jenbacher Type 624 engine
- Low Voltage course
- Final signâoff and Apprenticeship Presentation
What Weâre Looking For
- A genuine interest in mechanical engineering
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Motivation to learn, develop, and grow within Clarke Energy
- 5 GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above), including Maths, English, and at least one Science
- Full driving licence or undertaking driving lessons to have full driving licence within the first 6 months
