Rehability UK are looking for an experienced PBS Practitioner to join the growing behaviour support team. The Senior PBS practitioner will support the development and implementation of Positive Behaviour Support across services supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism, some of whom may present behaviours that challenge. The post-holder will provide specialist PBS assessment, formulation, and support planning, and will deliver training, coaching, and mentoring to support workers and managers. They will play a key role in embedding a proactive, person-centred culture and improving the quality of life for individuals supported. This role is ideally suited to an individual working towards UKBA Certification. The Senior PBS practitioner will report to the National PBS Lead and will support the supervision of PBS practitioners whom will be working through their BTEC in PBS. The behaviour support team sits within the quality team. Rehability UK is a National organisation and as such the Senior PBS practitioner will at times be required to travel to support individuals, this may include overnight stays. Key Responsibilities: Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments and analyse data. Develop PBS strategies and support with implementation and problem solving. Support individuals at various stages of their support with Rehability UK including the assessment and design of new services as well as reviewing and supporting existing services. Work directly with individuals to understand their needs, reduce restrictions and build on strengths as well as make quality of life improvements. Provide coaching, modelling and feedback to support teams and managers. Support the growth of a reflective, trauma informed culture. Promote and monitor data collection. Work in close partnership with individuals, families and professionals. Attend multi-disciplinary team meetings and reviews providing reports and feedback. Undertake Team Teach training and deliver a high standard of training to our support teams. Maintain accurate records and clinical notes. Maintain registration with the UKSBA and engage in CPD Person Specification Criteria : Essential: Qualifications: * Postgraduate qualification in Applied behaviour analysis or Positive Behaviour Support. (We will consider applicants whom are almost completed a post graduate qualification in the above) * Registered with the UK-SBA (or willingness to register) Experience: * Minimum 3 years experience supporting people with learning disabilities and / or autism. * Experience delivering training and coaching. Knowledge and Skills: * Understanding of PBS frameworks, values and legislation. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to manage a caseload and work independently.
