The service has been designed to be based on needs, offering choice and inclusivity. Our philosophy is that people are empowered as much as possible β this will include building upon their strengths. We recognise that each individual in distress is unique and the expert of his or her own experience. Specific tasks of the role include, but are not limited to: Assist and devise person-centred care plans and review progress, liaising with families and professional agencies as necessary. Communicate with support workers to provide support, guidance and information. Guide and lead Support Workers to develop and maintain high standards of care. Implement staff rotas ensuring that the service is adequately staffed at all times. Assist with medication and accurate recording of medication. Develop and maintain a professional relationship with people we support and help them to develop necessary life skills and satisfy needs. Participate in an on-call rota system and provide hands-on support when required. You will be required to cover shifts out of office hours and over the weekend as needed. As a team leader, you will work on the floor supporting clients. Itβs a full-time 36-hour post which requires you to spend 50% of your working time in the office supporting the service manager. Remaining hours will be spent supporting staff and clients on the floor. Skills and Experience required: Experience of working and leading a team in a supported living environment is preferred, but guidance and support from our experienced manager will be provided. Experience providing personal care is required. Flexibility is necessary for this role.
