We are looking for a Production Support Engineer responsible for the direct technical support functions to maintain and continuously improve equipment, processes, and facilities. You will report to the Head of Operations at Coloplast Costa Rica Volume Manufacturing Site, Cartago.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Planning of maintenance of production machines, supporting continuous production
- Support technicians in discovering failures, quick and professional troubleshooting
- Ensure the execution of scheduled maintenance activities
- Exploring and solving technical problems together with technical staff and operators
- Analyzing and improving technical processes, production machines, and equipment
- Installation, assembly & commissioning of production equipment and lines
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic, Electromechanics, or Industrial Engineering
- Good English knowledge
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in roles of increasing responsibility in Engineering/Maintenance/Process Engineering/Project Engineering/Continuous Improvement Initiatives
- 1-3 years supervisory experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working in an FDA regulated environment
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Able to fulfill the general requirements above
- Knowledge of Allan Bradley (RS Logix 5000) and Omron (CX1) – PLC programming, failure analysis, modification, and improvement of existing programs
- HMI knowledge (Panel View, Versa View), Programming with Factory Talk View
- Servo drives: Omron Sigma 2 (Device net communication), Rockwell Kinetics 6000 (Cercos communication)
- Understanding of electrical circuit drawings
- Administrator knowledge of Windows operating systems (Win XP and above) and network
- PC hardware knowledge (Maintain, upgrade, assembly)
- SQL database (Restore / Backup), handling and administration
- VMWare Workstation (Virtual machine management) knowledge
- Cognex Vision system experience (Setup, programming, failure analysis, modification, and improvement of existing industrial vision camera systems)
