About the role

Communications Officer on a fixed‑term maternity cover contract for 12 months.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver internal communications and engagement activity and support planning and evaluation.
  • Communicate complex and corporate information through clear, engaging written copy, good quality videos and imagery.
  • Manage WordPress, intranet systems and SharePoint; handle event management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Handle competing priorities and work collaboratively with strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

  • Experienced in internal communications and digital/social media.
  • Skilled technical knowledge; understanding of complex organisational communication.
  • Experience in events, media relations, strategic communications and stakeholder engagement desirable.
  • Ability to build and maintain key relationships at all organisational levels.

Location:

Hybrid model of working. Role based at RSH’s core offices in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, or Bristol. May involve travel within England and onsite visits to social housing providers.
