Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Working Cleaning Supervisor role based in Wimbledon. The Working Cleaning Supervisor will lead by example, carrying out daily commercial cleaning tasks while overseeing a team to ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation. Responsibilities include allocating duties, monitoring performance, training and guiding team members, and ensuring that cleaning schedules and specifications are met. The role involves regular inspections, reporting issues or maintenance needs, managing stock and equipment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures. The supervisor will also communicate with clients or site contacts as required, respond to requests or concerns, and support a positive and safe working environment for all team members.
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills, including team coordination, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
- Hands-on commercial cleaning experience, with the ability to maintain high standards and follow site specifications.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work constructively with team members, clients, and site contacts.
- Sound understanding of health & safety practices, including safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, and adherence to company policies.
- Ability to work full time on-site in Wimbledon, with reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- Experience in a cleaning supervisor or team leader role is desirable, particularly within commercial or facilities environments.
- Basic IT or mobile device skills for completing checklists, reports, or timesheets are an advantage.
- Willingness to undertake any required training and to support a respectful, inclusive workplace.
