Role Description
Based in Torquay, we are expanding and seek a further assessor to start in 2026. This is a hybrid, part-time contract role for a Cyber Essentials/Plus Assessor with the flexibility to work remotely at least part of the time. The assessor will be responsible for evaluating organizations seeking Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification, reviewing documentation, conducting risk assessments, and guiding clients through the certification process. Additional responsibilities include performing technical vulnerability tests, providing tailored recommendations to improve cybersecurity practices, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity standards and regulations.
Skills & Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus, and related cybersecurity frameworks and standards
- Experience in conducting risk assessments, technical audits, and creating security enhancement plans
- Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, access control, and vulnerability management
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication, with the ability to provide clear, concise reports and guidance
- Ability to work both onsite and remotely, with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Preference will be given to candidates who are already certified assessors, but training is also available for the right candidate.
