Pay Supplement: The base salary for this role is £36,366-£39,037. This job qualifies for Digital, Data and Technology Annual Pay supplement 20% is included in the total remuneration above.

Pension: 28.97% (RoS contribution)

Annual leave: 38 days annual holiday, increasing to 42 days with length of service.

Duration: Permanent

Working Pattern: 35 hours per week. We are a flexible employer and will consider a variety of working patterns on a case‑by‑case basis. For example, compressed hours, term‑time working or part‑time working.

Location: Hybrid working model. Contractual base either at Meadowbank House, Edinburgh (EH8 7AU), or St Vincent Plaza, Glasgow (G2 5LD). You will be expected to attend one of these locations as required by the role.

The Role We are seeking to appoint a Junior ServiceNow Administrator to support and enhance our ServiceNow platform, ensuring the smooth delivery of key digital services.

On a typical day you will… With support and supervision from senior team members, the post holder will:

  • Support the day‑to‑day administration and operation of the ServiceNow platform
  • Assist with routine configuration and administration activities, developing hands‑on experience of ServiceNow functionality under guidance
  • Help investigate and resolve ServiceNow‑related incidents, problems and service requests
  • Monitor and manage work items within ServiceNow queues, escalating issues where required
  • Assist with testing activities for system changes, enhancements and upgrades
  • Support the creation and maintenance of documentation, including:
    • Knowledge articles
    • Configuration notes
    • Standard operating procedures
  • Create and maintain basic reports and dashboards to support service monitoring
  • Carry out data management and housekeeping tasks, such as data clean‑up and bulk updates
  • Work with developers, service managers and stakeholders to understand how ServiceNow supports business processes
  • Participate in team meetings and Agile ceremonies, including stand‑ups and reviews
  • Actively engage in learning and development to build knowledge of:
    • ServiceNow platform capability
    • Low‑code and no‑code configuration techniques
