Registers of Scotland (RoS) is an award-winning organisation recognised for its technology and innovation. RoS is a world-leading pioneer in land and property registration. We work to create data-led, digital solutions for the people of Scotland. Our full-stack teams design, architect, and build all our registration products in-house.
Inclusion: We welcome applications from all backgrounds and are committed to building a diverse workforce that reflects Scotland. We particularly welcome applications from underrepresented groups in technology and design. Your unique perspective and experience will strengthen our teams' ability to create services that work for all our communities.
The Role: We’re looking for an Agile Delivery Manager (ADM) to join our dynamic and forward-thinking organisation. Whether it’s supporting the delivery of digital services, software products, or critical business outcomes like property deed registrations, you’ll play a vital role in helping teams work smarter and more effectively. This role will initially be based in Service Management, so ITIL/ITSM experience would be an advantage. The team forms part of IT Enablement, the department which delivers digital hosting, security and workplace services.
As an ADM, you’ll collaborate with a wide range of specialists to identify and remove delivery obstacles, ensuring smooth progress toward team goals. You’ll coach teams to take ownership of their delivery processes, guiding them through iterative improvements using flow data and other performance insights. As part of your development, you may also take on line-management responsibilities, mentoring more junior Agile colleagues and contributing to capability building across the organisation.
On a typical day you will:
- Support delivery processes using rapid feedback to maximise value and quality.
- Coach teams in continuous improvement and controlled experimentation.
- Act as servant leader enabling teams to be effective and self-organising.
- Facilitate ceremonies and workshops to maintain collaboration and clarity.
- Use flow metrics to identify constraints and recommend improvements.
- Identify and remove blockers, coordinating with cross-functional roles.
- Work with Product, IT Enablement and business stakeholders to ensure effective prioritisation and dependency management.
- Support teams through discovery, alpha, beta and live phases in line with the Digital Scotland Service Standard.
- Be prepared to move across teams or directorates where required.
- Provide Agile-related advice across the organisation and surface systemic impediments to organisational agility.
- Contribute to the Agile Community of Practice and provide training.
- Line manage and mentor Agile Delivery Managers and support recruitment for Agile roles.
This job is for you if you want:
- Work with purpose: working for the people of Scotland to set the bar for land and property registration worldwide.
- Flexible and hybrid working: depending on the role and team requirements, work when and where it’s best for you and your stakeholders.
- Benefits: enjoy pay progression, pension contributions of up to 28.97%, up to a year’s parental leave, and 38 days annual holiday, increasing to 42 days with length of service.
- Investment in professional development: we invest in all our people so that they have the right skills to be productive and confident in their job.
- Diversity and Inclusion: We are an ‘Investor in People’ and a ‘Disability Confident’ employer. We are inclusive, stronger together, and committed to putting our people first.
- Positive work culture: RoS is an agile, digital organisation using leading-edge technology. Colleagues understand their role in achieving our strategy and have the autonomy to deliver.
