Our well-established client is seeking to employ two (2) apprentices, aged 21—25, who live in or around the Cwmbran / Pontypool area, to train as felt roofers within our Newport branch.
About the role
Successful candidates will undergo a structured training programme designed to develop the skills and knowledge required to become fully qualified felt roofers.
Training & Development
- Full in-house training provided by experienced roofing professionals.
- Comprehensive Health & Safety training, meeting all industry standards.
- Progression to on-site training across our various project locations following initial in-house training.
- Continuous development and support throughout the apprenticeship period.
Pay & Progression
- Starting wage: £10.50 per hour.
- Incremental pay increases following successful completion of each training stage.
- Upon becoming fully competent and able to operate as part of a two-person roofing team, apprentices will be provided with a company vehicle, continued Health & Safety training, and access to future professional development opportunities.
Candidate Requirements
- Aged 21-25 years (for insurance purposes).
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Residing in or near the Cwmbran / Pontypool area.
- Reliable, motivated, and eager to learn a skilled trade.
- Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions carefully.
