The Department of Humanities at Regis College seeks an Adjunct Lecturer to teach the interdisciplinary course AR-222: Basic Design. This course will be conducted in-person on Tuesdays from 5:00-8:00 PM.
Course Description
This course serves as an introductory study of the elements of two-dimensional design—such as line, shape, value, color, and texture—and their integration into compositions that are unified and dynamic. A variety of organizational systems are explored, and the systematic study of color is initiated.
(Instructor has the freedom to construct a syllabus and decide on course content in consultation with department Chair, so long as course description and outcomes are unchanged.)
Essential Functions
- Teaching AR-222
- Ensuring appropriate curriculum design, implementation, and assessment of the course
- Providing timely feedback to students and hold office hours at least 2 hours/week (this can be done via Zoom)
- Please Note: Adjunct instructors are NOT expected to attend school or department meetings (though they are welcome to), conduct academic advising, or serve on standing committees.

- Interact in a positive manner with a diverse group of co-workers and students while upholding the College’s commitment to inclusive excellence.
