Our York team is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join them on a part time (0.6 FTE- 3 days per week), permanent basis.

About You:

To be considered for this position you must have:

  • Support learning and teaching across the curriculum, particularly for pupils with SEND.
  • Assist in planning, review and delivery of the curriculum (either as 1:1 or small groups) and assist in pupil health, safety, welfare and emotional and behavioural support.
  • Ensure that SEND support is happening within the context of the school's Self-Directed Learning Philosophy.
  • Prior experience as a Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant or within a similar role.
  • An understanding of special educational needs as defined in the SEN Code of Practice.
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent knowledge, experience and skills (desirable).
