We are delighted to offer an opportunity for a Science Technician to join our Tewkesbury team on a part-time, permanent basis (16 hours per week). This is a key support role within our Science department, where you will play a vital part in enabling high-quality teaching and learning. Working closely with the Teacher of Science, you will be responsible for the preparation, organisation, and safe management of equipment and resources, ensuring lessons run smoothly and effectively.
Skills & Experience
- Support high-quality teaching and learning through the safe preparation and management of Science resources
- Prepare materials and equipment for practical lessons, including IT-based activities
- Maintain, monitor, and organise departmental resources, reporting any repairs as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including CLEAPSS/RSC guidance
- Provide technical support, advice, and supervision during practical activities when required

About You
- A-Level (or equivalent) in Science, with GCSE English and Maths
- Strong understanding of safe laboratory practices and handling of equipment and chemicals
- Well-organised, reliable, and able to work proactively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
