We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our Ashbrook Campus on a full time, term time only basis.

About the Role

  • Working under the direction of teaching staff and the SEND team, you will:
  • Deliver high-quality learning activities across 1:1, small group, and occasionally whole-class settings.
  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a named pupil, including supervision throughout the school day (including breaks and lunchtimes).
  • Support the delivery of a personalised, bespoke curriculum.
  • Act as a Key Worker, building strong relationships with the pupil, parents, and internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the LSCo, SENDCo, and specialist teachers to implement EHCP outcomes.
  • Provide enhanced supervision for specific activities (e.g. 2:1 support for swimming or off-site activities).

About You

  • To be considered for this position you must have:
  • Hold HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience (e.g. NVQ Level 4/5).
  • Have experience supporting pupils with additional needs, ideally within a SEND or specialist setting.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, SEND frameworks, and relevant legislation.
  • Show resilience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting engagement.
