Role Description

This full-time 7.5 Tonne Truck Driver role is an on-site position based in Mossley. The Truck Driver will be responsible for operating company trucks to transport steel and related goods between company facilities, customer locations, and other designated sites. Daily tasks include performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, loading and unloading goods safely, securing cargo, and ensuring accurate delivery documentation. The role also involves complying with company safety policies, maintaining clean and orderly vehicles, and communicating effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams. The Truck Driver is expected to follow assigned routes and schedules, report any issues promptly, and represent the company professionally during all customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Valid 7.5 Tonne Class license and proven truck driving experience, including safe operation of heavy vehicles.
• Hands-on skills in unloading and handling materials, with the ability to secure and protect cargo properly.
• Knowledge of regulations and related transport compliance requirements, with a strong focus on safety.
• Experience operating trucks in commercial or industrial environments, preferably within consumer goods or steel distribution.
• Clean driving record and the ability to pass required background checks and medical/fitness assessments.
• Strong time management, route planning, and communication skills, with attention to detail in documentation.
• Ability to lift and move materials as required, and to work in varying weather and warehouse conditions.
• Reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to non-discriminatory and respectful conduct in all workplaces.
