Location: Northampton NN4 & NN5 | Salary: £13.20p/h

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver on behalf of a leading distributing company seeking a motivated individual to join their team. This role offers long-term work, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to carry out manual handling and physically demanding tasks
  • Good attention to detail to ensure accurate picking and packing
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and a positive work ethic
  • Ability to always follow health and safety procedures
  • Willingness to work shifts, overtime or weekends when required
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills for reading labels and completing paperwork

Desirable:

  • Forklift licence (FLT) is required for this position

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading deliveries using appropriate manual handling techniques
  • Checking incoming goods against delivery notes and reporting any damages or discrepancies
  • Sorting, organising, and storing stock in the correct warehouse locations
  • Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks, pump trucks, and (where trained) forklifts
  • Preparing goods for dispatch, including labelling, wrapping, and securing pallets
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment at all times
  • Following health and safety procedures and complying with warehouse regulations
