Are you an experienced Quality Inspector? Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a market leading sheet metal company based in Leicester. Qualifications
Essential:
- Previous experience in a quality inspection role within manufacturing or sheet metal
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, callipers, and micrometres
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and organised approach to work
Desirable:
- Knowledge of ISO quality standards
- Welding inspection experience
- Experience completing quality documentation and inspection reports
- Forklift licence
- Basic computer skills for reporting and record keeping
Roles & Responsibilities
- Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspections of sheet metal components and assemblies.
- Inspect products to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and company quality standards.
- Use inspection equipment including verniers, callipers, micrometres, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
- Identify, record, and report defects, non-conformances, or quality issues.
- Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation.
- Work closely with production, fabrication, and welding teams to resolve quality concerns.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the quality and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure all inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained correctly.
Requirements
As a Quality Inspector, you will also be expected to maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with health and safety procedures. Assist with internal audits and quality system compliance where required.
