Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer? Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a market leading manufacturer, specialising in Heavy Plant Equipment based in Leicester. Qualifications

Essential:

  • Degree, HNC or HND in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
  • Experience with industrial electrical systems and controls
  • Experience using SEE Electrical (or similar electrical CAD packages)
  • Ability to read and produce electrical schematics
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
  • Knowledge of PLCs (e.g. Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
  • Motor control systems and drives
  • Industrial automation and instrumentation

Desirable:

  • Experience within heavy plant, quarrying, or process industries
  • Exposure to SCADA systems and remote monitoring
  • Experience supporting site commissioning or international projects

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Producing control panel designs, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Using SEE Electrical for electrical design and CAD work
  • Programming and configuring PLC and automation systems
  • Supporting installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment
  • Troubleshooting electrical and control system issues (on-site and remotely)
  • Ensuring compliance with electrical standards and safety regulations
  • Working closely with mechanical engineers and wider project teams
  • Designing electrical systems for: Asphalt plants, Crushing & screening systems, Concrete batching plants

Requirements

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will also be expected to work with Project Managers to ensure designs are delivered on time and collaborate with other departments.
