Are you an experienced Estimator with a background in Main Contracting? Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an Estimator to join a professional and growing construction contractor specialising in healthcare, commercial, and education projects across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit and forward-thinking pre-construction team working on a variety of refurbishment and construction schemes ranging from small works through to multi-million-pound projects.

Qualifications
Essential:
- 3–5 years Estimating experience within a Main Contracting environment
- Experience within healthcare, commercial, or education sectors
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Strong organisational, negotiation, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Degree qualified or construction-related qualification
- Good understanding of JCT / NEC Forms of Contract
- SMM7 and/or NRM experience
Roles & Responsibilities
- Reviewing tender documentation to identify subcontract and material requirements
- Preparing and issuing subcontract tender enquiries
- Assessing and aligning subcontractor quotations
- Producing competitive tender submissions using subcontract pricing and first-principal pricing methods
- Identifying pricing gaps and compiling labour, plant, and material costings
- Producing take-offs for general construction works including flooring, ceilings, and partitions
- Preparing tender stage programmes
- Pricing project preliminaries including welfare, waste management, and site protection requirements
- Identifying and compiling tender qualifications and exclusions
- Assisting the wider pre-construction team to ensure deadlines are achieved
- Attending site visits and undertaking tender surveys nationwide when required
- Maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the tender process
Requirements
As Estimator, you will also be expected to:
- Work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Demonstrate a proactive and positive attitude
- Be flexible to travel nationwide with occasional overnight stays
- Show commitment to professional development and industry knowledge
- Be eligible to work within the UK
- Successfully complete an Enhanced DBS check as part of onboarding
