Accountant Leicester Based Salary: Up to £50,000 DOE Permanent, Full-Time Are you a fully qualified Accountant with at least 3 years' experience working within an accountancy practice? Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Accountant to join an established accountancy practice based in Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Accountant looking to utilise their practice experience within a varied role, working closely with a portfolio of clients and supporting them with their accounting requirements. What's on Offer: Salary up to £50,000 DOE Full-time, permanent position Office-based role in Leicester Opportunity to work within an established accountancy practice Varied client portfolio and responsibilities Professional and supportive working environment Qualifications Essential: Fully qualified Accountant, CIMA/ACCA is preferred but can also consider AAT with strong practice experience Minimum 2 years' experience working within an accountancy practice Strong understanding of accounting principles and practice-based accounting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines Desirable: Experience managing a portfolio of clients Experience with accounting software and relevant practice systems Proactive and professional approach to client relationships Roles & Responsibilities Prepare accounts for a varied portfolio of clients Complete year-end accounts and financial statements Prepare and review VAT returns and other statutory submissions Provide clients with accounting advice and support Liaise directly with clients to understand their requirements and resolve queries Ensure all work is completed accurately and within required deadlines Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting standards and legislation Support the wider practice team with a range of accounting and client-related duties Requirements As an Accountant, you will also be expected to: Be a proactive and commercially aware individual Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy Be confident communicating with clients and colleagues Be able to work independently while contributing effectively to the wider team Manage competing priorities within a busy practice environment About Regional Recruitment This position is being advertised by Regional Recruitment Ltd, an award-winning independent recruitment agency established in 2008.
