Setting Out Engineer - Wanted - Immediate Start! Midlands (Coventry) Based | Salary: DOE Contract, Full-Time Are you an experienced Setting Out Engineer? Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Setting Out Engineer to join a professional and growing construction company. This is a site based role requiring a reliable, technically minded individual with strong attention to detail. You will be responsible for setting out works accurately, interpreting construction drawings and specifications, and working closely with the site management team to ensure projects are delivered safely, accurately and to programme. What's on Offer: Supportive management and clear communication The opportunity to work on a variety of construction projects Long-term career opportunities with a reputable construction company Qualifications Essential: Previous experience as a Setting Out Engineer within construction or civil engineering Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and technical information Competent using surveying equipment such as Total Stations, GPS and laser levels Full UK Driving Licence Desirable: HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction or Surveying SSSTS or SMSTS First Aid at Work Experience using AutoCAD Experience with GPS machine control and modern surveying technology Roles & Responsibilities Setting out works accurately in accordance with construction drawings and specifications Carrying out dimensional checks and surveys on site Using Total Station, GPS, laser levels and other surveying equipment Establishing and maintaining site control points and benchmarks Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications Providing accurate levels, lines and coordinates to site teams Working closely with Site Managers, Project Managers and subcontractors Checking completed works against drawings and specifications Identifying and reporting any discrepancies or issues Maintaining accurate site records and setting out information Assisting with surveying and measurement requirements throughout the project Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures Supporting the wider site team with technical and engineering requirements Undertaking any other ad-hoc duties as directed by the company Requirements As a Setting Out Engineer, you will also be expected to: Complete all required site documentation accurately and efficiently Maintain accurate setting out records and survey information Communicate effectively with site management and subcontractors Work to project programmes and agreed deadlines Demonstrate excellent attention to detail Be flexible and willing to travel to different project sites when required Health, Safety & Compliance All employees are required to: Comply with all employment legislation and relevant codes of good practice Take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated legislation Co-operate fully with the company and colleagues to ensure statutory and safety requirements are always met About Regional Recruitment This position is being advertised by Regional Recruitment Ltd, an award-winning independent recruitment agency established in 2008.
