Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join a growing construction business based in Leicestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sales professional who enjoys developing new business, building strong customer relationships and managing the full sales process from initial opportunity through to closing the deal. Working within a specialist construction environment, you will be responsible for building a strong pipeline of new business, promoting bespoke and tailor-made products and solutions, managing client relationships and identifying opportunities for future growth. A key part of the role will involve working closely with clients to understand their requirements, arranging and managing site surveys and working alongside the survey, projects and tendering teams to ensure accurate proposals and quotations are produced. You will then take ownership of the commercial process, presenting solutions, negotiating and ultimately closing the deal. What's on Offer: - Salary of up to £50,000 DOE - Annual profit related bonus - Car allowance - Hybrid working - Full-time, permanent position - Office based in Leicestershire - Opportunity to join a growing business - The chance to play a key role in driving the company's future growth Qualifications Essential: - Proven experience in a Business Development Manager or senior sales role within the construction industry - Strong track record of generating and winning new business - Experience within a consultative or solution-based sales environment - Excellent relationship-building and communication skills - Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline and convert opportunities into revenue - Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills - Experience managing the sales process from initial enquiry through to close Desirable: - Experience selling bespoke, project-based products or services - Experience managing client site surveys - Experience working alongside project, surveying or tendering teams - Experience using CRM systems Roles & Responsibilities - Develop and execute a proactive business development strategy to generate new opportunities and build a strong pipeline of future business - Identify and target new customers across relevant sectors and markets - Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and key decision makers - Take a consultative approach to sales, understanding client requirements and identifying the most appropriate bespoke solutions - Arrange and manage site surveys with clients to fully understand project requirements - Work closely with the survey, projects and tendering teams to ensure accurate and commercially viable quotations are produced - Manage opportunities from initial enquiry through to tender, quotation, negotiation and final close - Present proposals and solutions to clients, confidently handling questions and objections throughout the sales process - Negotiate commercial terms and successfully close new business opportunities - Maintain a strong and accurate sales pipeline through effective CRM management - Monitor and follow up on live opportunities to maximise conversion rates - Develop existing customer relationships to identify opportunities for repeat business and further growth - Support marketing and lead generation activity to increase the company's reach within target markets - Research market trends, competitors and potential customers to identify new opportunities - Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from successful sale through to project delivery - Report on pipeline activity, opportunities and sales performance to senior management Requirements As Business Development Manager, you will also be expected to: - Be commercially driven with a genuine passion for winning new business - Have a consultative approach to sales and the ability to understand complex customer requirements - Be confident managing conversations with senior decision makers and key stakeholders - Have excellent negotiation and closing skills - Be proactive in building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline - Be highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and opportunities at different stages - Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Be comfortable working collaboratively with survey, project and tendering teams - Be motivated by achieving business growth and delivering results About Regional Recruitment This position is being advertised by Regional Recruitment Ltd, an award-winning independent recruitment agency established in 2008.
