We are looking for an experienced Conveyancer / Fee Earner to join an established legal team based in Birkenhead. This is an excellent opportunity for a conveyancing professional who is confident managing their own caseload and taking residential property matters from initial instruction through to completion.

The role would suit someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent client care and enjoys working in a busy, target-driven legal environment.

The Role

  • Manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload, ensuring matters are progressed efficiently while keeping clients and other stakeholders fully informed.
  • Manage residential property transactions from instruction through to completion.
  • Handle sales, purchases and other residential property matters.
  • Review contracts, title documentation and property information.
  • Raise and respond to enquiries.
  • Review searches and identify potential issues.
  • Provide clear and practical legal advice to clients.
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors.
  • Prepare and review conveyancing documentation.
  • Progress matters towards exchange and completion.
  • Manage completion and post-completion requirements.
  • Monitor key dates, deadlines and outstanding information.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant client files.
  • Provide regular updates to clients throughout their transaction.
  • Manage a busy caseload while maintaining high standards of service.
  • Work towards agreed performance and completion targets.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements.

About You

We're looking for an experienced conveyancing professional who can manage matters with a good degree of autonomy and keep transactions moving efficiently.

  • Previous experience as a Conveyancer, Conveyancing Fee Earner or similar.
  • Strong residential conveyancing experience.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload from instruction through to completion.
  • Good knowledge of the residential conveyancing process.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • A proactive approach to progressing files.
  • Confidence dealing with clients and professional stakeholders.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team.
  • A strong commitment to client service and compliance.

The Ideal Candidate
