Job Title: Steel Erector Location: Glasgow Contract Duration: 6 Months Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Steel Erector to join our team on a 6-month contract in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and securing structural steel components for construction projects. This role requires expertise in steel erection techniques, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Assemble and install structural steel components, including beams, columns, and frameworks. Operate tools and equipment such as cranes, cherry pickers, and mobile elevating work platforms to position steel structures. Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate installation. Conduct pre-installation inspections to verify structural components meet project specifications. Secure structural steel components using bolts, welding, or other fastening methods. Perform post-installation inspections to confirm alignment and stability.
