About the Role:
The business is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior External Sales Manager to drive continued growth and success.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will take responsibility for both your own sales pipeline and supporting the wider team to meet targets and build strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop existing customer relationships to maximise sales opportunities
- Lead and motivate sales teams by setting a high-performance example
- Generate and secure new project leads and trading accounts
- Drive daily sales through excellent service, relationship-building, and trust
- Meet or exceed sales targets in terms of turnover and gross profit
- Participate in business planning and regular review meetings with the senior management team
- Promote the company's brand and values in the marketplace
- Collaborate with management to secure resources and support for customer success
- Stay informed about new and updated product offerings
What We're Looking For:
- A confident and enthusiastic sales leader with a proactive, self-managed approach
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and support others
- A proven track record in external sales within the electrical wholesale industry
- A team player with a commercial mindset and a focus on long-term customer relationships
- Experience in mentoring or guiding sales teams is advantageous
- Full, clean UK driving licence required
