Lettings Negotiator
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Lettings Negotiator to join an established property team based in Maidstone.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in lettings who enjoys working with landlords and tenants, generating new instructions and progressing properties through to successful completion.
The successful candidate will be confident dealing with customers, have strong local market awareness and be motivated by delivering results.
The Role
As a Lettings Negotiator, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day lettings process and helping to maximise new and existing business opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing enquiries from prospective landlords and tenants
- Registering and qualifying applicants
- Arranging and conducting property viewings
- Matching applicants with suitable properties
- Negotiating offers and progressing lets through to completion
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with landlords and tenants
- Carrying out regular follow-up with applicants and prospective clients
- Generating new business and identifying opportunities for additional instructions
- Supporting property valuations and landlord appointments where required
- Keeping landlords updated throughout the letting process
- Liaising with referencing, compliance and property management teams
- Ensuring properties are marketed accurately and effectively
- Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems
- Working towards individual and team targets
- Providing a high standard of customer service throughout the lettings journey
About You
We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, customer-focused and enjoys working in a target-driven environment.
You should have:
- Previous experience within residential lettings or a closely related property role
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Confidence dealing with landlords, tenants and applicants
- A proactive approach to generating and converting opportunities
- Good knowledge of the local property market
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team
- A professional and personable approach
- A genuine interest in property and delivering excellent customer service
The Ideal Candidate
This role would suit an experienced Lettings Negotiator who enjoys the variety of working across valuations, viewings, applicant management and deal progression.
You'll be someone who is motivated by results, comfortable working to targets and confident building relationships with both landlords and tenants.

Basic Salary: £21,000
Commission: Uncapped (with guaranteed earnings for first 4 months, then further commission support to provide a minimum combined income of £29,400)
