Location: Leicester (UK & International Travel) | Full Time

Salary: £45K (OTE £60K-£70K) | On Site

We're working with a market-leading manufacturer based in Leicester, specialising in heavy plant equipment. Due to continued growth, they're now looking to recruit a Mechanical Installation Engineer to support their site-based installation team across the UK and Internationally.

This is a field-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys working on large-scale projects and is comfortable spending time away from home.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Installation of heavy plant machinery on customer sites
  • Supervising subcontractors and site teams
  • Acting as Banksman/Slinger during lifts and site operations
  • Delivering RAMS and conducting toolbox talks
  • Working at height and supporting steel erection activities
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to spec
  • Regular travel across the UK, with occasional international work

Requirements

  • Strong background in mechanical installation / steel erecting
  • Experience supervising subcontractors on-site
  • Confident delivering RAMS and toolbox talks
  • Banksman & Slinger trained
  • Comfortable working at heights
  • Valid site certifications: CSCS card, IPAF, SPA (ideal)
  • Happy to work away from home 80%+ of the time
