TIG/ MMA Coded Welder Location: West Yorkshire | Full Time Salary: £20.63/hour OTE up to £50,000 | On Site
We’re working with a well-established specialist engineering organisation with over 50 years’ experience delivering high-performance pipework systems across UK industries. Due to continued growth, they’re now looking to add an experienced TIG / MMA Coded Welder to support their expanding operations team. Based at their West Yorkshire facility, with nationwide project work, this is a key role within the business, offering technical variety and the opportunity to work on complex industrial systems to the highest quality standards. You’ll work closely with experienced pipefitters and engineers, ensuring all welding work is completed safely, efficiently, and to strict quality standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Weld to ASME and EN standards for fillet and butt welds in carbon steel and stainless steel
- Fabricate pressure piping, pressure vessels, tank headers and spool assemblies in all positions
- Perform TIG root and hot pass, with MMA (low hydrogen) or TIG fill and cap in line with WPS
- Weld small bore (< 2") and large bore (up to 32") heavy wall pipework
- Carry out commercial and process pipework fabrication and modification
- Install and modify commercial and industrial pipeline systems
- Work to tight tolerances and radiographic standards
- Support and mentor junior team members
Requirements
- Time served pipe welder
- Fully competent in TIG and MMA (Low Hydrogen) with MIG experience
- Experience welding wall thickness from 1mm to 32mm
- Ability to achieve welds to radiographic standards
- Experience with welds subject to NDT and destructive testing
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Willingness and flexibility to work away from home when required
- Proof of relevant coding’s (current or expired)
