We are seeking a proactive Quality Assurance Technician to join our process line operations team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role is critical in ensuring that the materials produced on our process line meet defined quality standards. You will be responsible for regular testing, detailed record-keeping, and identifying and communicating any deviations in product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Take lead responsibility for product quality assurance, identifying and reporting deviations or trends.
- Quarantine defective products and coordinate with Team Leaders and the Operations Manager to ensure timely resolution.
- Work with external laboratories to conduct specialist analysis and provide independent quality verification when needed.
- Verify product quality parameters to ensure compliance with commercial contracts.
- Maintain and report on quality data for fibre and pellet output.
- Assist with administrative tasks and quality-related documentation as required.
- Agree and report on weekly/monthly KPIs related to quality control.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proficient in English, Maths, and Chemistry.
- Previous experience in a quality control or quality assurance role, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in testing and record-keeping.
- Comfortable working in a start-up environment - motivated, adaptable, and a team player.
- Experience writing and maintaining QA procedures and documentation.
- IT literacy is essential, especially in Microsoft Excel, Word, and ideally Microsoft Teams.
- Familiarity with QA testing such as moisture testing for polypropylene pellets and ash testing for fibres is desirable.

This is an on-site role based at our Northampton facility. While the initial schedule is Monday to Friday (8:00 to 16:30), shift-based working may be introduced as the business expands. Alternative hours may be considered depending on operational requirements and candidate suitability.
